Using libpd with Unity3D on mobile devices (part 2)

Today’s blog post comes with an announcement that a lot of people have been waiting for for some time: We’ve just released the source code for kalimba, our libpd to unity3d-mobile binding on github. Announcing the Kickstarter Campaign & Tridek for iOS

Since we announced Tridek three months ago we got asked a lot of questions about the game: “Will I be able to play Tridek on my iPhone? Will you support Ouya?” “Are there going to be cross-platform multiplayer tournaments? And will I get a story line for the singleplayer mode?”

Today we can finally answer all of these questions with a whole-hearted Yes! - but only if you help us make it happen. Starting today we’re on Kickstarter and we have one month to gather the support needed to create all these awesome things.

Q:Hi! I was reading, with great interest, your experiences using Scaleform with Unity. As I'm more of a Flash developer than a Unity developer, would you be able to elaborate more on the SetTexture and Render-to-texture integrations and how you worked around the image loading issues on Android? How are you targeting the stuff in flash? Any source code would be a great help! Thanks!

Hi unknown stranger :D

We have no workaround for render-to-texture or SetTexture yet. We’ve reported the issue to Autodesk and they have just confirmed to implement this features in the next update. Loading pictures on Android works fine for us since the last plugin patch.

I don’t know what you mean by “targeting the stuff” and I’m not able to share any source code here yet but if you get in touch with me directly at sk@bitbarons.com then I’ll try to explain it to you in more detail.
